Larry D. Thomas

Larry D. Thomas, a member of the Texas Institute of Letters and the 2008 Texas Poet Laureate, resides in Las Cruces, New Mexico. He has published several award-winning and critically acclaimed collections of poetry, including As If Light Actually Matters: New & Selected Poems (Texas A&M University Press Consortium 2015) which was selected as a 2015 Writers’ League of Texas Book Awards finalist. His Larry D. Thomas: New and Selected Poems (TCU Press 2008, Texas Poets Laureate Series) was longlisted for the National Book Award (the 2013 longlist was the first to be announced to the general public). His most recently published collections are In a Field of Cotton: Mississippi River Delta Poems (Blue Horse Press 2019) and Boiling It Down: The Electronic Poetry Chapbooks of Larry D. Thomas (Blue Horse Press 2019).
