Catherine Strayhall grew up in Kansas and earned her bachelor’s degree at Kansas State University, where she was a two-time winner of the Sullivan Poetry Award. Her work has appeared in KANSAS! magazine, the Johnson County Arts & Heritage Center, and the Kansas City Star. She has been featured several times in the online publication Poets Reading the News, going on to serve as an associate editor. Catherine lives in the Kansas City area, where she’s been working in libraries and education. Outside of work, she enjoys attending sporting events, fan conventions, and the theater.
