Michael Poage has been writing since 1967. He has lived and/or worked in Latvia, Mexico, Gaza, Bosnia & Herzegovina, as well as the U.S. He has worked as a grocery clerk, manual laborer, teaching in a two-room school in Montana, operated a sheep ranch in western Montana, and has taught English language usage and English Literature to international students virtually in Thailand and in-person in Bosnia and at Wichita State University, Wichita, Kansas. He served as the Poet- in-Residence at Dzemal Bijedic University (2017-18). He lives with his wife, Dr. Gretchen Eick, writer, teacher, activist, in Wichita, Kansas.
